Many Canadians are wondering where they can travel right now, should they choose to do so.
Currently, there are many countries that are accepting Canadian tourists, with more being added constantly.
As border restrictions start loosening around the world, many nations are eager to have Canucks return and want to get the message out that they are open for tourism.
We have compiled a complete list of countries that have reopened their borders for Canadian tourists. This list will be updated constantly as the news changes so rapidly.
Please note: The government of Canada has a âAvoid all non-essential travel outside of Canadaâ advisory currently in place. Travel Off Path does not endorse travelling against any advisories set by the government. Your decision to travel is your own.
Before we get to the list of countries that have reopened for Canadians, letâs clear the air about something else:
Are Canadians Allowed To Travel Right Now?
Yes. Even though the Canadian government has the âAvoid all non-essential travel outside of Canadaâ advisory in place, Canadianâs are still permitted to leave the country as they wish.
However, upon returning to Canada, all travelers will have to comply with both entry requirements and new domestic/international travel rules.
Entry Requirements For Returning Travelers: If fully vaccinated, there is no longer a 14-day quarantine, but proof of vaccination plus a 72-hour negative PCR test is still in effect. See more about entry requirements here.
New Vaccination For Domestic and International Travel: Starting Oct 30, 2021, air, rail, and ship passengers, both domestic and international, will have to show proof of being fully vaccinated to board.

Albania
Albania reopened to Canadian tourists on July 1, 2020.
Starting Sept 1, 2021, a 48-hour antigen test, 72 hour PCR test, proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery is needed to enter.
There are no flights directly to Albania from Canada, but Canadians can transit easily through Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Zurich, Istanbul, Paris, etc.

Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua and Barbuda reopened to Canadianâs on June 4, 2020.
Starting October 1, 2021, ONLY fully vaccinated Canadians will be permitted to enter, and the PCR testing window shrinks from 7 days down to 4.
Canadians can transit through Miami, who has daily flights.
Armenia
Armenia reopened for Canadian tourists on August 12, 2020.
Where is it? Located right in between Asia and Europe, bordering Georgia and Turkey.
Youâll need to bring proof of a negative PCR test, taken no more than 72 hours before arriving -or- show proof of being fully vaccinated with at least 14 days elapsed.

Aruba
Canadians will have to fill out an online health declaration form, purchase Aruba specific Covid-19 insurance and upload negative covid PCR test results 4 â 72 hours before boarding.
Sunwing and Air Canada will bring back direct flights starting October 2021.

Austria
As of August 2021, Canada is listed on the low-risk âAppendix 1â of countries permitted to enter Austria.
This means Canadians can use one of the following to enter Austria for tourism and non-essential travel:
- Proof of vaccination (at least 21 days old, but not more than 270 days old)
- Proof of recovery (not more than 90 days old)
- Proof of a negative 72-hour PCR test or 48-hour antigen test
Bahamas
The Bahamas originally reopened for Canadians on July 1 and has changed entry requirements many times since.
The most recent updates include: A negative PCR test must be shown, taken no longer than 5 days before arrival. Stays over 4 nights must also take a rapid antigen test on the 5th day. As of May 1, 2021 The Bahamas will make exceptions to allow fully vaccinated Canadians to skip PCR testing.
WestJet and Air Canada have direct flights scheduled for fall 2021.

Barbados
Barbados reopened for Canadian tourists with the first direct flights coming in December from Toronto on Air Canada.
Some entry requirements include: Travelers from Canada will need to bring a negative-PCR test no older than 72 hours before departure. Vaccinated travelers will be tested with a rapid PCR on arrival, and in 1-2 days once test results are back, can fully enjoy Barbados. Unvaccinated passengers must quarantine for 5-days in government-approved accommodation, of which a negative PCR test will release them from quarantine.

Belarus
Belarus is allowing Canadians to enter for tourism, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, with different entry rules for each.
Unvaccinated tourists will need to supply a negative 72-hour PCR test and quarantine for 7 days. Vaccinated tourists have it easier, with only proof of vaccination needed. (no tests or quarantines)
Belize
Belize reopened for tourism on October 1, 2020.Â
Canadian travelers will need to download a travel health app, only book certified accommodation, and provide proof of either: A negative 48-hour antigen test, a 96-hour PCR test, or proof of vaccination.
Direct flights are scheduled to start in November 2021
New in September 2021: Vaccinated travelers were exempt from testing for most of 2021, but now must also provide a 96-hour PCR or 48-hour antigen test for entry.

Bermuda
Bermuda is officially reopening for Canadian tourists on July 1st.
Get ready for a lot of testing!
New in September 2021:Â Bermuda updated entry requirements making them very difficult to follow, even for fully vaccinated passengers. They include wearing of colored wrist bands, tests on arrival, day 4, 8, and 10, and many restrictions.
Air Canada currently flies direct out of Toronto, with WestJet restarting direct flights in November.

Belgium
Belgium approved the return of Canadian tourists in July 2021 and currently has Canada classified as a âGreenâ nation.
As long as Canada stays âgreenâ, no test, quarantines, or proof of vaccination is required to enter Belgium.

Bonaire
Bonaire reopened for Canadian tourists on November 1
Vaccinated Canadians will need to bring a 48-hour negative PCR test in order to enter, as well as have travel insurance that covers covid. Unvaccinated Canadians require a 24-hour PCR, which is a very tough turn around time.
Air Canada usually flies directly from Toronto but has not yet resumed flights due to demand.
Bolivia
Bolivia is accepting Canadians for tourism, but the rules in 2021 are still pretty intense.
A 72-hour PCR test, plus a mandatory 10-day quarantine are in effect. Visitors can test to release on Day 7 as an option. Also, travel insurance that covers covid is mandatory.
Bosnia and Herzegovina
Bosnia and Herzegovina opened for Canadian tourists, as of September 12, 2020.
All passengers will need to bring a negative PCR or antigen test, taken no longer than 48 hour prior to departure.

Brazil
Brazil is now open for Canadian tourists!
Brazil started allowing Canadian tourists to visit as of July 30, 2020.
Direct flights to Sao Paulo can be found from Toronto on Air Canada.
2021 Update: A 72-hour negative PCR test will be required for all visitors

Bulgaria
Bulgaria has reopened to 80+ countries as of May 2021
Canadians can enter 4 ways: Proof of a negative PCR test (72 hours), proof of a negative Antigen test (48 hours), proof of recovery (positive test 14-180 days old), or proof of vaccination.

Chile
Chile reopened for tourism on November 23, 2020, but shortly reclosed for tourism until October 2021.
2021 Entry rules: Proof of vaccination, 72-hour PCR test, mandatory travel insurance, and a 5-day quarantine. (5-day quarantine is rumored to drop off mid-Oct)

Colombia
Colombia reopened its borders for international tourism on September 21
No tests, no quarantines. The testing requirement for Canadians arriving in Colombia has been removed as of June 4, 2021.

Costa Rica
Costa Rica opened for Canadian tourists as of August 1st, 2020.
in 2021: No tests, no quarantines.
Unvaccinated travelers are required to purchase travel insurance that covers covid for entry. As of March 2021 one of our favorite companies, HeyMondo offers the specific kind of coverage Costa Rica is asking for.

Croatia
Croatia officially reopened for Canadian tourists on July 1, 2020.
As of 2021, Canadians will need to show proof of paid accommodation and choose one of the following for entry: Proof of negative test, proof of vaccination, or proof of recovery.

Cuba
On July 1, 2020 Cuba reopened for Canadian tourists!
Cuba is requiring Canadians to fill out a health online declaration form
2021 Test Update: Starting November 2021 unvaccinated passengers will have to bring a 72-hour negative PCR test. Vaccinated Canadians can just show proof of vaccination to skip testing.
All passengers could be randomly chosen for testing on arrival.

Curacao
On July 1, Curacao reopened its border for Canadian tourists!
Canadians will have to fill out all the required online forms before departure, and submit a negative-PCR test no older than 48 hours, or a 24-hour antigen test. Testing after arrival may also be required.
Direct flights are available from Montreal and Toronto.

Cyprus
Cyprus is allowing Canadian tourists to enter as of July 2021.
They are currently classified as âOrangeâ, which means a 72-hour PCR test is still needed to enter. Vaccinated passengers can skip pre-flight testing, but may be randomly selected upon arrival.

Czech Republic
Canadians can enter Czechia as of June 21, 2021
Currently, Canada is on the âgreenâ low-risk list, meaning tourists can enter without testing or quarantines. However, once inside the country, many hotels, tours, and other venues may require either proof of vaccination or proof of negative test to enter/visit/patron.
Canada does fluctuate to higher risk lists at times, which means testing will be required for entry.
Denmark
As of July 3, 2021, Denmark is allowing Canadian tourists to enter for non-essential reasons.
Canada is currently listed as âyellowâ.
Fully vaccinated Canadians, or recently recovered Canadians can enter with no tests or quarantines. Unvaccinated passengers will need a 72 hour PCR test.

Dominica
The island nation of Dominica is reopened for tourism on August 7, 2020 and will be accepting Canadian tourists.
To be honest, it might be a little to hard to visit at this time, since Canada was recently moved into the âhigh-riskâ list.
Canadians will now need to: Bring a 72-hour negative PCR test with them, be tested on arrival, spend 5 days in quarantine, and then take a 3rd test on day 5 to finally enjoy the vacation. Vaccinated travelers can skip the 5-day quarantine.
Dominican Republic
As of July 1, 2020, Canadians can travel to the Dominican Republic
No tests, no quarantines!
2021 Update: A small sample of arrivals (around 5%) will be selected for random testing, but itâs an easy and non-evasive breath test. Fully vaccinated passengers will be exempt from random selection testing.

Dubai (UAE)
Dubai, UAE is officially reopening its borders for Canadian tourists on July 7, 2020 .
Canadianâs need to: register their âhealth declarationâ on an app before their trip, bring a negative PCR test within 96 hours of boarding, and have health insurance to be able to enter.
in 2021: Emirates and Air Canada currently fly direct to Dubai.

Ecuador
Ecuador is now open for Canadian tourists!
Canadians can travel to Ecuador without quarantine, as long as they bring a negative PCR or antigen test, no older than 3 days. (Exceptions to the testing requirement in effect for vaccinated/recovered travelers.)
There are no direct flights from Canada, but Miami, Houston, and New York have already resumed into Quito and Guayaquil

Egypt
Egypt has reopened for Canadian tourists to visit.
All canucks must have proof of a negative PCR test certificate for COVID-19 performed no more than 96 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Egypt.Â
Canada also qualifies for the visa on arrival program.

El Salvador
El Salvador is allowing Canadian tourists to visit. Vaccinated passengers can skip testing, while unvaccinated passengers will need a 72-hour PCR test.
Estonia
Starting July 2021, Estonia put Canada back on its safe list for entry.
Canada rotates between the âgreenâ list and higher risk lists. Rules usually are no testing or quarantines for vaccinated Canadians and a 10-day quarantine and either 72-hour PCR or 48-hour antigen test for unvaccinated.
Finland
Starting July 26, 2021, Finland opened up for vaccinated travelers worldwide, including Canada.
Canadians need to bring proof of being fully vaccinated, with 14 days having passed since the last treatment.
France
As of June 9, 2021, France first reopened for Canadian tourists, ONLY if they are vaccinated. Then on June 18, France added Canada to its âGreenâ list, meaning un-vaccinated tourists are now also welcome.
Vaccinated Canadians will need to show their proof of being fully vaccinated, but can skip testing. Unvaccinated Canadians need either a 72-hour PCR test, or a 48-hour antigen test.
A digital health pass is in effect while inside the country.

French Polynesia
French Polynesia (think Bora Bora and Tahiti) reopened for Canadian tourists on July 15, 2020, closed again in 2021, and reopened a second-time summer 2021 with a vaccination requirement.
Vaccinated Canadians must bring a negative 72-hour PCR test or a 48-hour antigen test, along with their proof of vaccination. Unvaccinated passengers are only allowed for a compelling reason.
While Canada doesnât fly directly to Tahiti and Bora Bora, San Francisco and Los Angeles do!

Georgia
As of mid-2021, Canadian travelers have TWO options to enter Georgia:
1- If vaccinated, they can enter restriction-free
2- If unvaccinated, they will need to bring a negative 72-hour PCR test, isolate for 3 days, and take another test to release.
Germany
Germany lifted the entry ban for Canadians starting July 2, 2021. Canadian tourists are once again permitted to enter directly from Canada, or via another approved country.
Proof of a negative test (72 hour PCR or 48 antigen) recent recovery, or vaccination is required.
Ghana
Canadians can now head to Ghana as of September 1
Tourists must bring results of a negative PCR test, taken no longer than 72 hours prior to departure. Another mandatory test will be performed at the airport upon arrival.
There are currently no direct flights to Ghana from Canada, but Canadians can easily connect in New York or London.

Greece
As of May 14, 2021 Greece has added back CANADA to its approved list. Canadians can once again enter Greece for tourism.
Canadians have 3 choices for entry: Either proof of being fully vaccinated, proof of a negative 72-hour PCR test, or proof of recently recovering from the virus.
Hotels, beaches, tours, museums, and outdoor dining are all open!
Grenada
Grenada reopened for Canadian tourists on August 1, 2020
As of 2021, only vaccinated passengers with a pre-flight 72-hour PCR test may enter. a 2-day quarantine is also in effect.
Direct flights start from Toronto have not yet restarted due to low demand.
Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe (a French nation in the Caribbean) has reopened to Canadian tourists as of July 1.
Unvaccinated Canadians cannot enter for tourism. Vaccinated Canadians are permitted to enter, but may be tested on arrival.
Guatemala
Guatemala officially reopened for tourism on September 18
Canadian tourists will need to bring a negative PCR test, taken no longer than 72 hours prior to the flight. Vaccinated tourists are exempt from testing.
There are currently no direct flights from Canada, but Canadians can easily transit through cities like: Dallas, Houston, New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, etc; which all have non-stop flights.

Haiti
Haiti reopened for tourism on July 1, 2020
Starting on February 9, 2021 all passengers into Haiti will require proof of a negative PCR or antigen test, taken no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival.
Proof of recovery for entry is also possible.

Hawaii
Yes, we are aware Hawaii is not a country⦠however since they have separate entry requirements than the mainland USA and since Canadians can now only get the appropriate tests as of Nov 20, it needed its own spot on this list.
As of November 20, WestJet has partnered with a test provider approved by the government of Hawaii and is offer Canadians pre-flight testing for entry.
With these pre-flight tests, Canadians can enter Hawaii without a 10-day quarantine.

Honduras
Honduras has reopened for Canadians as of August 17, 2020
Canadians will need to bring proof of a negative covid test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival, but it can be either a PCR -or- an antigen test. Fully vaccinated passengers can skip testing.
Direct flights from Toronto have not been restarted yet, but Canadians can transit through many US cities right now, like NYC and Miami.
Hungary
Passengers from Canada can once again travel to Hungary as of September 2021, providing they have one of the following:
- A 72-hour negative PCR test
- Proof of vaccination within 1 year
- Proof of recovery within 6 months, with prior positive test and certificate
Iceland
As of 2021, Canadian travellers that can show proof of being fully inoculated will be permitted entry into Iceland, in addition to providing a pre-flight 72-hour PCR or antigen test. A test done within 48 hours of arrival may also be required.
India
Coming Soon. October 15, 2021, with bubble flights, and November 2021 with general commercial flights. PCR testing is expected. Full entry requirements TBD.
Ireland
Ireland is open for Canadian tourists with different rules based on vaccination status.
Unvaccinated travelers will need a 72-hour negative PCR test, plus a 14-day quarantine, with a âtest to releaseâ option on Day 5. (Proof of recovery is also valid.) Vaccinated Canadians can enter without testing or quarantines.
Italy
Canadians were put back on the list of approved third-party countries to enter Italy on May 16, 2021.
As of June 21, Canadians can enter Italy for tourism by providing TWO of the following:
- Proof of being fully vaccinated, and either
- Proof of recent recovery within 180 days
- Proof of a negative 48-hour antigen or PCR test

Jamaica
Jamaica reopened for Canadian tourists on June 15, 2020
Jamaica is requiring all Canadians visiting to first fill out an online Travel Authorization Card before they fly and starting March 2021 they will need proof of a negative PCR or antigen test, taken no longer than 3 days before the flight.

Jordan
Jordan reopened for Canadians on September 8, 2020.
Canadians will need to present proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test no older than 72 hours prior to departure, and undergo another PCR test upon arrival. Proof of vaccination allows passengers to skip testing.

Kenya
Kenya opened for Canadian travelers back in August, 2020. Passengers arriving in Kenya must bring a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours of flying or they will face a mandatory 14 day self-isolation.
Kosovo
Kosovo is open for tourism and allowing Canadians to visit.Â
A 72-hour PCR test is required for entry, but proof of vaccination will exempt passengers from testing.
Pristina airport is reopen, as well as land borders between Montenegro and Albania. While Canada doesnât fly directly to Kosovo, Canadians can transit throughout many European cities, like London, Frankfurt, Vienna, Munich or Istanbul.

Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan reopened for tourism in August, but as of December starting allowing Canadian tourists to visit.
A 72-hour PCR test is needed to enter, but no quarantine is required! Proof of vaccination can be used to skip testing.

Latvia
As of September 1, 2021, vaccinated Canadians can enter Latvia without any restrictions like tests or quarantines. Unvaccinated Canadians will have to provide a 72-hour PCR, plus a 10-day quarantine.
Lebanon
Canadians can visit Lebanon for non-essential reasons.
As of April 2021 vaccinated travelers are now exempt from quarantine and presenting a negative 96-hour PCR test to enter Lebanon. However, a second PCR test may be performed upon arrival at the airport.
Maldives
The Maldives reopened for tourism on July 15, 2020.
In April 2021, the Maldives started making exceptions for vaccinated travelers to skip testing, but due to Delta concerns, has suspended that program. As of July 26, 2021, Canadian travelers will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test that was taken no more than 96 hours prior to departure, along with proof of vaccination.
Unvaccinated travelers can still enter with just a 96-hour PCR, but will be subject to a 14-day quarantine.

Malta
Due to Delta concerns, Malta is currently only allowing fully vaccinated passengers to enter.
As of mid-September 2021, Canadians can once again enter with proof of vaccination from Canadian authorities, as long as itâs uploaded into the Verifly app.

Mauritius
Fully vaccinated Canadians can enter Mauritius with no quarantine as of October 1, 2021. A 72-hour PCR test is still required.
Mexico
Mexico is open for Canadian tourists! In fact, it was one of the only countries that never actually really closed its borders to Canadians in the first place.
No tests, no quarantines!
The country has been wide open for tourism since mid-2020, as of mid-2021, is one of the worldâs most popular âpandemic eraâ destinations.
Canadian airlines have already restarted direct flights to Mexico City and Cancun and plan to restart direct flights to cities like Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Cabo, and others fall 2021.

Montenegro
Montenegro has announced on July 8, 2020 Canadians are now welcome to visit.Â
As of 2021 Canadians have 3 options: Bring a negative 48-hour PCR test, proof of recovery from the virus, or being fully vaccinated.

Morocco
Canadian are permitted to visit Morocco for tourism, and as of 2021, itâs a little easier.
Canadians are required to bring a negative PCR test, no older than 48 hours before arrival â or â proof of being fully vaccinated.

Netherlands
The Netherlands is now allowing Canadian tourists again as of July 8, 2021.
Entry requirements are simple for fully vaccinated passengers with no tests or quarantines. Unvaccinated passengers will need a 48 hour PCR test or 24 hour antigen test, and may be restricted once inside the nation, as vaccine passports are in effect.

Nepal
Starting October 1, 2021, Nepal has dropped quarantine requirements for fully vaccinated passengers. a 72-hour PCR is still needed for entry, plus another test on arrival.

Nicaragua
Nicaragua reopened for Canadians on October 1, 2020
In fact, they never really closed their borders for tourism in the first place, but flights were suspended, effectively cutting the nation off to tourists.
Canadians can transit through Mexico City, Houston or Miami to get there.

North Macedonia
Canadians (and every other nation!) can visit North Macedonia starting July 1, 2020.
For 13 months, no tests or quarantines were required. However, starting August 2021 visitors will now be required to show proof of vaccination, proof of recovery, or a negative test to enter.

Pakistan
Pakistan will reopen for tourism on October 5th, and Canadians will be permitted to enter.
First, Canadian tourists will need to apply for a visa. Once approved, Canadians will need to bring proof of a negative PCR test taken no longer than 72 hours before arrival, another test on arrival, and show proof of vaccination.
Direct flights are available to 3 cities as of fall 2021.

Panama
Panama reopened for tourism in October and Canadian tourists can enter.
As of 2021: Canadians will need to bring a 72-hour negative test, which can be PCR or antigen. Proof of vaccination will exempt passengers from testing.

Paraguay
Paraguay has reopened for Canadian tourists as of December, 2020.
Canadians will need to bring a 72-hour negative Covid test. Paraguay is accepting PCR, LAMP and Nucleic Acid tests. Vaccinated travelers will still have to test, but will be exempt from the 5-day quarantine that unvaccinated travelers will face.
Peru
Peru reopened in October for tourism and starting permitting Canadians to visit as of November 1.
A negative PCR test, taken no longer than 72 hours before arrival is needed. (Antigen tests and proof of recovery certificates are also permitted)

Poland
Poland is allowing Canadian tourists to enter for non-essential reasons.
As of mid-2021, unvaccinated Canadians will have to quarantine for 10 days upon arrival. Vaccinated Canadians have no tests or quarantines.

Portugal
Canadians were added back onto Portugalâs approved list in July 2021.
Tourists entering from Canada or another approved nation will have to provide a negative 48-hour antigen test or a 72-hour PCR test. Proof of vaccination is only being accepted from fellow EU nations at this time.

Romania
On June 1, 2021, Romania removed the travel ban on foreign arrivals, including Canada.
Currently, Canada is on the âyellowâ list, meaning passengers will need a 72-hour PCR test, proof of vaccination, or proof of recent recovery to enter.

Rwanda
Rwanda has officially reopened for tourism as of June 17, 2020 and is allowing Canadian tourists to visit.
Canucks will need to bring a negative-PCR test taken at most 72 hours before arrival and be ready to be tested again upon arrival.
There are currently no direct flights from Canada, but RwandAir is looking into creating a direct NYC to Kigali route. They also fly to Brussels.

Serbia
Serbia reopened to Canadian tourists on May 22, 2020
As of 2021: a 48-hour PCR test is required for entry.
Canada doesnât fly to Belgrade, Serbiaâs capital city directly, but New York does on Air Serbia.

Slovakia
As of July 9, Slovakia is now allowing Canadian tourists to enter.
Entry is easiest for fully-vaccinated passengers, as they are considered low risk and have no tests/quarantines. Unvaccinated passengers may still enter, but they will need a 72-hour pCR test and a 14-day quarantine upon arrival. (Day 5 âtest to releaseâ is possible)
Slovenia
Canadian tourists can enter Slovenia for non-essential travel as of June 2021.
Passengers will either need a negative 48-hour PCR test, a recent recovery within 10 days to 6 months old, or proof of vaccination to enter.
South Africa
South Africa has reopened for tourism on October 1, and is now again allowing Canadian tourists as of November 12, 2020.Â
As of 2021: Canadians are allowed to visit, but they must bring a negative PCR test that was taken no longer than 72 hours prior to departure into SA.

Spain
Canadian tourists can visit Spain once again as of June 7, 2021, providing they are fully vaccinated. No tests or quarantines are required.
To be considered fully vaccinated, passengers must have received both shots (or the one in the case of J&J) and 14 days must have elapsed since the last/final shot.

St. Barths
St.Barths reopened for a second time mid-2021
Saint Barthelemy, or St. Barths as itâs commonly called, is a beautiful French-speaking Caribbean island known for its white-sand beaches, luxurious hotels, duty-free shopping and stunning views.
Vaccinated Canadian tourists will have to bring their proof of vaccination and either a 48-hour antigen test or a 72 hour PCR test. Unvaccinated Canadian tourists will have to provide a negative 72-hour PCR test, plus quarantine for the first 7 days of arrival, with a 2nd PCR test on Day 7.

St Lucia
The beautiful island nation of Saint Lucia reopened for Canadian travellers on June 4th.
Canadians are required to bring a negative covid test, taken no longer than 5 days before departure in order to board their flight to Saint Lucia. Unvaccinated tourists must stay in approved hotels for 14 days, while vaccinated tourists have no quarantine requirements.

St. Maarten
St. Maarten reopened for tourism on July 1, 2020
Canadians will need to bring a negative PCR test taken no longer than 72 hours prior to arrival, with negative results. Antigen within 48 hours is also accepted.

St. Vincent and The Grenadines
St. Vincent and the Grenadines officially reopened for tourism on July 1, 2020
Canadians will have to answer a health questionnaire before arriving, and also agree to be tested upon arrival, as well as provide a 72-hour negative PCR test. Vaccinated Canadians will only have to quarantine for 48 hours, while unvaccinated Canadians will be required to quarantine for 14-days.
Air Canada usually has direct flights, but they have not yet resumed.

Sweden
As of July 1, 2021 Canadians can enter Sweden by producing one of the following:
- A vaccination certificate
- A negative test certificate
- Documented evidence of recovery from COVID-19
Switzerland
Starting June 26, 2021, fully vaccinated Canadian tourists can enter Switzerland with no testing or quarantines. At least 14 days must have passed since the final dose, but no longer than 12 months.
Tanzania
Tanzania reopened for Canadian tourists at the start of June.
Fancy a safari? Or how about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro? Maybe just laying on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar? The African nation of Tanzania will allow tourists to come and do all of the above.
As of 2021: A 96-hour negative PCR test is required.

Tunisia
Tunisia is permitting Canadian tourists to visit as of June 27, 2020
All passengers, even if fully vaccinated, will need a 72-hour PCR test to enter. Unvaccinated travelers will also have to perform a 10-day quarantine upon arrival.

Turkey
Turkey has reopened for Canadian tourists
Under normal âpre-covidâ rules, Canadians do need to apply for an e-visa before traveling to Turkey, and their visa site is now operational again.
Direct flights are now available from Montreal and Toronto on Turkish Airlines to Istanbul.
Canadians can bring a negative 72-hour PCR test, proof of recent recovery, or proof of being fully vaccinated to enter.

Turks & Caicos
Turks and Caicos reopened June 22, 2020
Canadians can head down to the Turks and Caicos late July, but only by flying in, as the cruise ports are staying closed until September.
A 72-hour negative-PCR test is required before arrival, even for fully vaccinated passengers.

Uganda
Uganda officially reopened both air and land borders on October 1st. Canadians are welcome to visit.
All passengers will need a 72 hour negative PCR test to enter, and another PCR test in order to leave the country.

UK
As of October 2021, vaccinated Canadians can enter without pre-flight testing, but must pre-book a test after arrival in the UK (max 2 days). Unvaccinated have a 3-day pre-flight test, 2 tests after arrival, and a 10-day quarantine.

Ukraine
As of 2021: All foreign passengers must provide proof of a negative PCR test that was performed no longer than 72 hours before arrival in Ukraine. Testing can be skipped for fully vaccinated passengers, or recently recovered passengers.

United States
Contrary to popular belief, the USA is open to Canadian tourists.
Canadians are allowed to travel to the States, but they have to fly in. The land border between the two countries is still closed.
Starting on January 26, 2021 ALL passengers arriving into the USA by air must bring proof of a negative Covid test, performed within 72 hours. The test can be PCR or rapid antigen.
