Virgin Voyages is starting 2023 with a new advertising campaign, “Now We’re Voyaging”, followed by the debut of a music video “, The Voyage”.
Virgin Voyages is a cruise line that distinguishes itself by providing luxurious adult-only cruises. Offering Michelin-starred food and award-winning facilities is poised to become one of the world’s most enticing travel brands.
Unlike cruising, which is frequently just a party at sea, Voyaging is a journey of discovery that encourages “sailors” to reconnect with their true selves; a world-class spa and sunrise yoga classes balance fine dining and late-night partying to create a unique and unforgettable experience – one that Virgin Voyages hopes to communicate through its new brand line, “Now We’re Voyaging.”
According to a company release, the Virgin Voyages Now We’re Voyaging campaign highlights the duality of excitement and leisure passengers can expect onboard Virgin Voyages’ ships.
In addition, Virgin Voyages published a music video named “The Voyage,” inspired by the 1983 song “Karma Chameleon.”
“We have earned the hearts and minds of hundreds of thousands of Sailors who have fallen in love with Virgin Voyages because we built an experience that everyone could enjoy,” said Nathan Rosenberg, the chief brand officer of Virgin Voyages.
“As we continue to display our ships to the globe, we wanted to convey what it’s like onboard based on what our Sailors have told us and posted on social. It involves genuine crew members and is a celebration of travel and voyages. “The Voyage” music video shows this in a unique and relevant way, transitioning from a tranquil and restful condition to a dreamy, curious, and energetic state.”
Director Jonas Kerlund produced “The Voyage,” starring pop musician Drew Love, to highlight the exclusively adult experience, and the film takes viewers on a cinematic voyage across 24 hours at sea. Kerlund has directed music videos for a wide range of performers, including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Maroon 5.
The video was shot on board the Scarlet Lady with the actual Virgin Voyages crew and sailors.
The new Virgin Voyages-inspired music video debuts around the 40th anniversary of the original song’s iteration, which Virgin Records first released.
