The TikTok hashtag #travel has over 90 billion views alone, and in 2022 the platform’s influence on travelers increased by 10%. It should come as no surprise that surveys are measuring the popularity of specific destinations on TikTok, with the newest one from travel company Big Media 7 having just come out.
This is the fifth year Big Media 7 has compiled the list of the 50 most popular destinations on both Instagram and TikTok, taking into account the number of hashtags, shares, and likes that each location has gained. While the list might not bring about many surprise entries, each location has proven itself to be a solid favorite among travelers on both social media and IRL.

With over 97 billion TikTok views, the fashion capital of Italy is a favorite amongst social media users.
