It’s never too early to plan your next trip. Alaska Airlines is standing behind that statement by filling out their calendar way earlier than expected.
By doing so, it also helps you know what exciting new places you can jet off to on one of America’s most reliable carriers.
Summer may be in full force now where travelers are making the most of their time off, but let’s not forget why winter is an awesome time to travel too.
For instance, many of us will be stuck at home in frigid temps daydreaming of Mexican beaches. Conversely, you can embrace the snow and book an epic ski trip as well.
Alaska is helping travelers do both with 18 new flights launching in total with 10 of them being exciting international destinations.

New flights will launch to all 3, plus the bustling cultural city of Guadalajara for more traditional experiences.
Cancun will always be top dog, but there’s nothing wrong with switching it up for a vacation splurge in Cabo, more authentic experiences in Puerto Vallarta, or to skip the beach entirely for Guadalajara.

- Fresno (FAT) – Guadalajara (GDL) launching December 3, 2024 with daily service
- Sacramento (SMF) – Los Cabos (SJD) launching January 5, 2025 with 5 flights weekly
- New York (JFK) – Puerto Vallarta (PVR) launching January 8, 2025 with 4 flights weekly (the only nonstop service in the U.S.)
- Sacramento (SMF) – Puerto Vallarta (PVR) launching January 11, 2025 with 1 flight weekly

- St. Louis (STL) – Puerto Vallarta (PVR) launching January 25, 2025 with 1 flight weekly
All Mexico routes are seasonal, ending between April and June 2025. The exception is the Fresno—Guadalajara route, which ends February 12, so there will be no surprise Valentine’s Day trips!
