There’s never a bad time to plan your next vacation.

Most travelers are scoping out the best destinations for summer as spring will soon come to a close, but exotic beaches are a year-round draw.

American Airlines is making your dreams come true with 8 new flights to international beach destinations, some more popular than others.

With a mix of Caribbean and Latin American flavors, these tropical locales all exceed the mark for a phenomenal beach vacation.

Here is what travelers should know about American’s 8 new routes:

4 New Routes From New York (JFK)

One of the busiest airports in the U.S., and probably the world, is seeing 4 new exciting destinations to jet off to for some much needed sun and sand.

The ‘Big Apple’ is the starting point for many epic vacations as a major hub of the Northeast region.

Oftentimes, travelers can score great deals on airfare to some really cool destinations, such as iconic European cities.

But, for now, American has only revealed their latest sunny getaways in the Caribbean as it pertains to JFK.

Beginning in November, the first initial launch will take place with the other 3 destinations soon to follow.

These are the 4 new flight routes from JFK:

  • JFK – Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI) starting November 5th
  • JFK – St. Lucia (UVF) starting December 7th
  • JFK – St. Maarten (SXM) starting December 7th
  • JFK – St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) starting December 7th

Bridge is the only new destination with daily service. The others will only be available on Saturdays.

2 New Routes From ‘The City Of Brotherly Love’

Philadelphia, known as the ‘City of Brotherly Love’, is a fun city to visit in its own right. Not nearly as big of a hub as any of New York’s 3 major airports, Philadelphians can still vacation in paradise with 2 new flight offerings this year.

Like JFK, Philadelphia (PHL) will fly to one of the most stunning, cultural islands in the Caribbean.
No, not Cuba, Jamaica, or the Dominican Republic, but the highly underrated island of Barbados.

Playa Tamarindo in Costa Rica

Additionally, Philadelphians and those nearby will also have the chance to fly nonstop to the ritzier side of Costa Rica with beachfront resorts and incredibly scenic beach towns like Tamarindo.

These are the 2 new flight routes from PHL:

  • PHL – Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI) starting November 9th
  • PHL – Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR) starting December 7th

Both flights are only available on Saturdays.

2 More New Routes, Including A First Of Its Kind!

White sand beach of La Romana

While these beach destinations are amazing to visit, there are other airports that fly here. None of them are hard to reach.

Nonetheless, there is a brand new route to a brand new destination for the first time ever, leading the list with its “wow’ factor.

Soft white sand, glistening blue waters, and overshadowed by the premiere resort city of Punta Cana, La Romana is a gem waiting to be discovered.

American Airlines is now letting us in on the secret to lesser crowded beaches and even more lavish beachside resorts to choose from.

Tourist visiting Bequia Island

Travelers from Miami (MIA) will be able to fly nonstop to La Romana, Dominican Republic (LRM) with daily service beginning December 5th, making for the perfect winter sun vacation.

This will be the only U.S. carrier with service to La Romana, otherwise you’ll be stuck in the crowds of Punta Cana.

Next up, is Charlotte (CLT). Sharing a new route with JFK, travelers will be able to fly nonstop to the lesser known islands of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVD) beginning December 7th.

This service will only be available on Saturdays. All of American’s new flights will be available to book May 20th on their official website and mobile app.

The Caribbean On A Budget

Not to say you can’t score great deals with American if you time it right, but a little extra digging can stretch your travel budget exponentially.

Americans’ favorite budget airlines all fly to some of the top Caribbean destinations and who wouldn’t want to splurge more on a nice resort than airfare?

For example, Frontier now flies to at least a dozen Caribbean destinations.

Well worth a look at the very least.
