Taiwan took its sweet time reopening after the world seemed to fall on its face, but they are back, and travelers look forward to reaping the benefits of visiting such a cool city.
Delta is no stranger to Taipei as the city has been in their route network before with a direct flight from Tokyo.
However, Taipei will soon make its debut with Delta with a nonstop flight from mainland USA. The lucky winner is Seattle, one of the closest U.S. markets to Asia.
So, even if you don’t live in Washington, you will soon be able to have a convenient connection with Delta via Seattle, where it’s not out of the way.

Which Airline Should You Take?
Delta may be the latest to add Taipei to their flight options, but United beat them to it. Earlier this year, United launched nonstop flights to Taipei from San Francisco.
Obviously, if you live in Seattle, the best option is Delta and the same for San Francisco residents with United.
However, that’s not the end of options. There are multiple airlines of Asian origin offering direct flights to Taipei from the U.S. In fact, Taipei introduced their own airline, Starlux, earlier this year.
Those looking to visit this awesome cultural city before summer will have to choose between United, Starlux, and EVA Air for direct flights.
Delta’s new nonstop route from Seattle will launch June 6, 2024 with daily, year-round service from SEA on a premium Airbus A330-900neo.
This adds to their already impressive portfolio as they continue to expand to Asia and the Pacific with exciting destinations such as Seoul, Shanghai, Auckland, and Sydney, which are so much more accessible.
