Taiwan MICE Talk returns to Kuala Lumpur on September 25

After a three-year hiatus, the MEET TAIWAN MICE industry brand promotion event is scheduled to return to Kuala Lumpur on September 25. The event, themed Taiwan MICE Talk, will introduce the  latest Taiwan MICE developments and incentive policies to Malaysia.

Organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and  executed by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the MEET  TAIWAN program is a long-term initiative aimed at promoting Taiwan’s MICE  (meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions) industry. This year, the program  plans to engage Malaysian industry players through a lively and interactive showcase  to build a strong understanding of Taiwan’s MICE strengths and uniqueness.

The MEET TAIWAN promotional event has been held annually in Malaysia since 2014,  attracting numerous media, businesses, and MICE professionals each year. This year  marks the first return to Malaysia for MEET TAIWAN since the pandemic. Alongside  11 Taiwanese stakeholders (five travel agencies, three professional conference  organizing companies, two hotels, and one exhibition hall company), MEET TAIWAN  will introduce the wealth of exhibition and conference services Taiwan has to offer.

According to the latest data unveiled by the prestigious M&C Asia Stella Awards,  Taiwan has been selected as the Best Exhibition Destination and also the Best  Convention & Visitor Bureau this year. Additionally, a survey conducted by the  renowned booking platform, Booking.com, has ranked Taiwan’s Hualien City as  second in its Most Welcoming Cities on Earth list for the year 2023. The MEET  TAIWAN program aims to emphasize Taiwan’s diverse and distinctive range of  exhibition venues, including emerging venues like the International Convention  Center Tainan that was established in recent years. The above data supports Taiwan’s status as an outstanding destination for businesses to host overseas  exhibitions and incentive travel.

Statistics from the first half of this year on inbound travellers to Taiwan show that  Malaysia continues to be the leading source of visitors among New Southbound  countries. Taiwan boasts convenient public transportation and is continually  enhancing its Muslim-friendly environment. These factors underscore Taiwan’s  recognition of Malaysia as a crucial market for hosting significant exhibition events in  Taiwan.

The Taiwan MICE Talk will be held at the Pullman KLCC Hotel. Taiwan MICE Talk, a captivating showcase of Taiwan’s thriving MICE industry, was  previously held in June. The event is scheduled for promotion in Kuala Lumpur on  September 25.
