Dubai is one of the most popular destinations among tourists this year. Multiple companies in the travel industry are aware of this and are providing new services for this destination.
One of those companies is Air Canada, which has recently announced a new direct flight from Vancouver to Dubai — making it the only non-stop flight connecting the Middle East to Western Canada.
The carrier will serve this new route four times a week beginning on October 28, with comfortable schedules for travelers.
Air Canada is already serving daily routes from Toronto to Dubai and is now expanding its presence in the United Arab Emirates.
Other major airlines like United Airlines also recently announced new direct flights to Dubai. This popular destination is now more reachable and attractive for globe trotters.
Air Canada is expanding its services to the Middle East also as part of the recent alliance with Emirates. Members of the airline’s loyalty program now have more benefits and options to collect and redeem points, as well as flights to more markets.
Here’s what travelers should know about Air Canada’s new service to Dubai:
New Service From Vancouver To Dubai
Customers taking advantage of the new route will be traveling on Air Canada’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. They will have three cabin services: Economy Class, Premium Economy, and Signature Class with lie-flat seats.

These are the new schedules connecting Vancouver International Airport (YVR) to Dubai International Airport (DXB):

Perks For Travelers
Air Canada’s international services feature culinary talents: David Hawksworth, Vikram Vij, Antonio Park, and Jérôme Ferrer.
And the sommelier Véronique Rivest is in charge of the wine selection. Travelers can expect great food and wine onboard this long-haul flight.
This long route will also help travelers get great perks and benefits from the loyalty program. Members of Aeroplan will be able to redeem points for this route and also collect points and accumulate miles.
Eligible travelers will have access to the Maple Leaf Lounges, priority check-in and boarding, and the exclusive and luxurious lounge, Signature Suite, at Vancouver International Airport.
Air Canada’s Expansion To The Middle East
The Canadian carrier expects that this new route will help Canadian travelers explore amazing new destinations and get more visitors, but also allow new business relationships that will strengthen the economy in the region.
Bridgitte Anderson, President and CEO of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, said: “Direct air travel is the lifeline of modern business, allowing entrepreneurs to connect with clients, partners, and opportunities across the globe with speed and efficiency.”
And added: “Connecting Vancouver directly with more destinations brings us closer, drives innovation, and encourages growth in our interconnected world. As such, the investment by Air Canada in this new route will certainly contribute positively to our region.”
The two iconic cities will provide different experiences for travelers. Mark Galardo, Senior Vice President, Network Planning and Revenue Management at Air Canada, explained that the company strongly believes that the region’s natural beauty will attract more international visitors.
British Columbia offers great outdoor activities and adventures that could appeal to visitors coming from Dubai.
Conversely, Canadians will be amazed by Dubai with its modern buildings, extravagant resorts, and the great variety of activities offered in the city of the future.
