Time Out has just released the results of their fifth annual ranking of the world’s coolest neighborhoods after surveying over 20,000 people worldwide. These unique top spots are the best in the world for culture, food, fun, and community. The ranking includes buzzing communities from all over the world, with neighborhoods in Mexico, Europe, Southeast Asia, the U.S., and Canada taking the top five spots.

Although the pandemic wreaked havoc on life for two years, it allowed communities all over the world the opportunity to strengthen their neighborhoods. While some businesses didn’t make it, others had the opportunity to open in vacant spaces or shift their business model. Remote work also allowed urbanites the opportunity to rediscover their neighborhoods and invest locally. As a result, neighborhoods all over the world are creating better spaces for both locals and tourists to explore, including these top five spots.

5. Mile End (Montreal, Canada)
